Description
In the beginning of the 1930s, there was a desire for a high-speed bomber that could outpace contemporary fighter planes. One plane to come to fruition from this desire was the twin-engine bomber He 111 designed and produced by German company Heinkel Flugzeugwerke AG. From November 1939 they produced He 111H-3 planes with liquid-cooled Jumo 211D-1 engines with increased power and more powerful armaments. In early 1940, they produced 504 He 111H-3 bombers.
