These are plastic model sets that require assembly and painting. They do not contain paints and glues unless otherwise stated.
HMS Royal Oak was a Royal Navy battleship of the Revenge class, commissioned during the First World War and still in service at the outbreak of the Second World War.
Though considered obsolete by 1939, she remained part of Britain’s Home Fleet and was stationed at the key naval base of Scapa Flow.
Armed with eight 15-inch guns, Royal Oak represented the heavy firepower of early dreadnought-era battleship design.
Her career was tragically cut short on 14 October 1939, when she was torpedoed by a German U-boat while anchored at Scapa Flow, resulting in heavy loss of life.
The sinking of HMS Royal Oak was one of the most shocking naval incidents of the early war and highlighted vulnerabilities in Britain’s naval defences.
Today, the wreck remains a protected war grave and a solemn reminder of the cost of war.
