Description
The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. Tiger I is certainly one of the most famous tanks of the Second World War. It was developed to provide the Wehrmacht’s armoured divisions with a heavily armoured and heavily armed tank to operate alongside the more widespread Panzer III and Panzer IV medium tanks, which were no longer able to effectively counter enemy tanks. The first versions were deployed in combat at the end of 1942 on the Eastern Front near Leningrad and on the African Front during the Tunisian campaign in the early months of 1943. Its main armament consisted of the famous and lethal long-barrelled 88 mm KwK 36 L/56 anti-tank gun. Mounted in the turret and protected by a heavy 120 mm gun mantlet, it was capable of penetrating the armour of any enemy vehicle of the time, even at long range.
Scale is 1:35
Size of the model is 24.1cm
Rubber tracks and link & length tracks option
Dedicated to the famous Tiger tank in the first Tunisian and North African operating environment
Includes four version decal sheet
