These are plastic model sets that require assembly and painting. They do not contain paints and glues unless otherwise stated. Description In the beginning of the 1930s, there was a desire for a high-speed bomber that could outpace contemporary fighter planes. One plane to come to fruition from this desire was the twin-engine bomber Ju 88 designed and produced by German company Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke AG (commonly known as Junkers). From the spring of 1940 they produced Ju 88A-5 planes with an increased wingspan and liquid-cooled Jumo 211G-1 or H-1 engines. In 1940-1941, around 2000 Ju 88A-5 bombers were produced. They took part in all late 1940-1941 Luftwaffe operations – in the Battle of Britain, and also in Balkans and the Eastern Front.
