Description
The Russian multi-role 4++ generation fighter Su-30SM was created by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. It first took to the air in 2012, and serial production was established at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. The Su-30SM can effectively hit both air and ground targets. Engines with controlled thrust vectoring and an advanced aerodynamic design provide the aircraft with super-manoeuvrability. Its maximum flight speed reaches 2,125 km/h and maximum altitude is 17 km. The aircraft is in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces, and is supplied to Belarus, Kazakhstan and a number of countries in Southeast Asia.
