Description
The difficult economic situation and metal shortage in 1943 forced the German industry to simplify the design of vehicles. In the second half of the war, the German heavy truck L 4500 was equipped with a wooden cabin and a simplified body. In this form, the vehicle was produced until the beginning of 1945. The vehicle's load capacity was 4,685 kg. The L 4500 was actively used on the Western and Eastern Fronts for transporting cargo and towing artillery. After the war, the trucks served for civilian use.
