HISTORY OF SPANISH TRAINING SHIP JUAN SEBASTIAN ELCANO
Discover the Juan Sebastian Elcano made by Artesania Latina, the renewed wooden and plastic model of this representative schooner brig sailboat Spanish. It is named after the Spanish explorer Juan Sebastian Elcano, captain of the expedition -after the death of Fernando de Magallanes-, who completed the first round the world in 1522.

Launched in 1927 in Cadiz, Juan Sebastian Elcano serves as a training ship in the Navy for the Marine Guards. In the second semester of the fourth year of their career at the Naval Military Academy, they made an instructional cruise, a six-month trip to America and some twenty thousand miles of travel. Currently, it continues to sail the seas of the planet as it is still active.

Build your scale model 1:250 of the Juan Sebastian Elcano, an illustrious training ship of the Spanish Navy. Renewed its design in 2021, this modeling kit is perfect for initiation into naval modeling because the instructions are very complete as they are presented in videos and in DVD format.

In addition, the preformed plastic hull is provided for greater ease of assembly and new photo-etched details are included. The model of the Juan Sebastian Elcano school ship also includes parts of laser-cut board, hardwoods, plastic, brass, cast iron and sails.

Another great novelty is that the model kit includes the figurehead, the flag and the name plate to build the great sailing ship Esmeralda, which is a ship school exactly like Elcano but from the Chilean Navy.

It is a scale replica perfect for those who want to get started in naval modeling, since the hull is completed for the greater comfort of the fan. Once it is built, the model measures 17.91'' (455 mm) length, 10.03'' (255 mm) height and 4.33'' (110 mm) width.
