These are plastic model sets that require assembly and painting. They do not contain paints and glues unless otherwise stated.
The SAS Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle (PMV) is an armored vehicle that is designed for use by special forces units, such as the Australian Special Air Service (SAS).
The vehicle is based on the Bushmaster Infantry Mobility Vehicle, which was developed by the Australian company Thales Australia.
The SAS Bushmaster PMV is designed to provide superior protection for its crew, with its armored hull able to withstand small arms fire, mines, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
It has a crew of up to ten personnel and can transport them in comfort and safety over rough terrain and in hostile environments.
The vehicle is powered by a Caterpillar C7 turbocharged diesel engine, which provides a top speed of 100 km/h and a range of up to 800 km.
It is equipped with advanced communications and navigation systems, as well as a range of weapon mounts for various types of firearms.
The SAS Bushmaster PMV has been used extensively by Australian and other special forces units in a variety of missions, including counter-terrorism, reconnaissance, and combat operations.
It has been praised for its high level of protection, mobility, and versatility, and has earned a reputation as one of the most capable and reliable special operations vehicles in the world.
The kit is brilliantly detailed in this 1/72 scale.
Slide molds provide major assemblies such as the lower hull and upper compartment.
Other details such as the chassis bottom and suspension are depicted, as is the Kongsberg Protector remote weapon station atop the roof and mounting a 12.7mm machine gun.
Befitting an SAS variant, there is a hefty bull bar mounted on the nose of the Bushmaster.
This model is more than ready to be inserted into a modern-day diorama depicting combat operations in Afghanistan or Iraq.
It might be a Bushmaster, but it is master of desert or arid terrain too!
